A Fenty administration will make the District a beacon for technology by providing resources and programs that work for all our residents. We will look to other cities like Philadelphia and New Orleans who already have programs to provide internet access to all citizens.We will do this because we need to close the technology gap that we recognize exists between the rich and poor in our City. This gap only serves to continue the disparities that keep many of our people and neighborhoods from participating fully in our society. In the 21st century better access to information is often the difference between success and failure.
